V1.8 Hotkey Update
Hey folks! Been a while got distracted by other projects, lol. But when I looked at the Trello for this game and realized I only had like 3 major features left before I’d consider it a "finished game", I figured, eh, why not knock the next bit out?
You can now use hotkeys for commands in-game instead of relying on the mouse! Also fixed hotkey integration on all the other menus!
The only things you can’t hotkey now are selecting which water body you start in and choosing your creature (though you can hotkey to just begin as a creature).
The other two big things I wanted to do were:
-
Improve animations a bit.
-
Add the ability to beat things to death with shells, plants, etc. (with the results changing depending on what you’re using to do the beating).
I also wanted to add 'ponder your existence' when playing as a sentient fish... but idk, might not be worth adding here, that was mostly just for a dumb meta gag tbh.
There were a few other little things, like making the historical event text more interesting when, say, a fisherman catches you—but I figure, eh... that can go in the next game!
Changes:
-Can now hotkey commands
-Can now hotkey in all menus
-Fixed version number on main menu
