DR4X Friday build #7: 8/20/2021


Hey guys, lots of cool stuff in todays release!

Changes:

-You can now open news whenever you feel like it

-News also keeps track of all previous news now

-Gave a bunch of new abilities and techs to rogue guilds

--Shakedown, immediate gold for misery exchange

-Patch up, instantly repairs building

-Ability to upgrade the guilds poison arrows and the rogue's daggers

-Fixed unsightly bug with map gen screen

-Save more info on buildings (specifically techs)

-Fixed bug with saving and loading when techs are researched

-Optimized saving and loading times

-Added a bunch of new abilities to gremlins, specifically they can get a tech that lets them build a unit that will establish a new hive

-Changed how crits work (again)

-Aquatic/ignore ocean movement units can now build on water

--Gonna add pirates

-Players and especially gremlins now spawn in more appropriate locations

-Massive AI optimizations Massive AI optimizations (On an extremely large map as wildlife, turns are basically instant)

-Fixed strange bug where AI ran significantly slower when you didn't give your faction a custom name. (yep)-

-Fixed shader error that was causing issues on Linux version

-When a resource is depicted in unit popup it is now represented by its symbol

-Added thief ability to rogues that lets them steal gold from enemy empires when attacking their buildings

-Added terrorizer flag where a building is less productive after being attacked by units with this flag for a few turns (Added this to arsonists), lets you harass enemy empires

-If your income is over 1000 or greater then it is displayed as for example 1.5k

-Added a bunch of particle effects

-Added visible arrows when rangers attack and such

This change should now be live on steam for anyone who has a key!
