The Game

In addition to the above notable features, DR4X is also Inspired By Majesty,  XCOM and Conquest Of Elysium and Warlords. It also has charming low poly 3d graphics and comic book style 2d graphics!

DR4X includes an in-depth skirmish customizer, allowing you to design (and share) distinct fantasy settings complemented by a broad range of gameplay styles! Decide your realm's age, its savagery level, the types of bandits and kinds of monsters, invading dark forces, and much, much more! Occasionally, your skirmish settings even unlock new win conditions.

Once you've made your choices, the world is procedurally generated, incorporating elements like artifacts that are randomly created in accordance with the age of the realm.

After which you can dive into a lively ever-changing world where, without intervention, dens of beasts and camps of bandits will spread across the realm, paired with unique random events that bring the world to life based on your settings.

Before jumping in you can choose your faction and each faction and sub faction uses different resources and completely unique playstyles.

Research powerful technologies and utilize game changing "Tile Effects", like the Cults ability to do a "Mass Sacrifice" when building hideouts! Or the kingdom's ability to Annex all surrounding holds simply by building a guard house!

Each choice and technology adds new possibilities and alters the course of your realm.

Do you want to fight other empires? Or perhaps just defeat the monsters infesting the realm. Or maybe even be the monsters infesting the realm! It is all your choice!

If you're not inclined towards skirmishes, the game also offers a unique single-player campaign, complete with five endings and a series of unlockable missions. Each mission has voiced briefings, reminiscent of classic retro games, and has multiple 'routes' to victory. Set against the dramatic backdrop of a realm under a mysterious invasion, this campaign blends modern, story-intensive visual novel elements with completely unique meta horror aspects and 'Coffee Break' 4X gameplay. As of now, you can fully play through the first chapter of the in development six part campaign!

Everything is fine.

 It's perfectly safe.

Holy moly you have so many effects! I'm just happy I can control them! As a person which gets easily distracted, I had to turn all of them off for sensory overload. So i'm sorry, but i don't think i will experience the developer intended experience. Although frankly, i'm not sure that turning them off actually works XD.

You've added a TON of little easter eggs and cameos, not even sure if they mean something as i didn't progress as much into the game.

Ok, i've been stuck playing your game haha. Skirmish mode. I need to tell you that i am impressed. I've noticed a lot of details in the game, <span class="NormalTextRun SCXW83028082 BCX8" <there's<="" span="">>span class="NormalTextRun SCXW83028082 BCX8"> quite a steep learning curve when it comes to the special functions, your rock paper scissor approach - it's hard to determine who is weak to what.</span>

Finally finished the campaign: it was a blast! I'm wondering if you can prevent the glitches with the camera, now i understand why you have a camera reset button.

You have so much going on... seriously. I'm proud of you and your work.

It's a well made TBS, and often i've had the dejavu of playing total war:warhammer or hero's of might and magic. Great compliments to be had, honestly.</span>

This post is very human.

exceedingly lmao

dang it. its not free anymore.

Yep ended yesterday at noon (twas free for 2 days), i am not affiliated with the websites that repost when games are free so, if my game is still listed as free wherever you found it you will have to talk to those people.

Its worth it at full price though. I did get a massive amount of positive feedback when i made it free heh. Do keep an eye out i put it on sale frequently (not free usually but on sale heh)

I got a notification that this was a free game. Did I miss it?

Yeah ended a couple hours ago

Do I get the steam key if I claim it for free?

(2 edits) (+3)

Someone on reddit tried . It seems like itch only allows "purchases" to get the keys. Probably a measure against key farming bots.

I was kinda surprised by this TBH.

It is set up to give keys. But it seems like when you make it free it doesnt?

Could you mail a spare key on catalanicsurya@gmail.com

I was planning to gift the key to my friend. Thanks
